It was a little boy. Strange. How did he get here? The highway is close to empty. I looked around, no sign of his parents, or any type of guardian. I pointed with hands for him to move away then slowly opened the door, I rubbed my eyes one more time, rubbed my eyes clear of my tears.. He stood looking up at me giving me a goofy smile, I bent down, held his hands and asked.
Dalal: 7abeeby, wein mama w baba? Who's here with you?
He chuckled. Then he motioned for me follow him and gripped his hands on my wrists tightly for a little boy. I walked 2 meters with him then stopped him and asked.
Dalal: Where are you taking me 7abeeby? Are your parents here?
Little boy: Come with me, I know about your misery, I can take you away from it all..
My heart skipped a beat, what did he mean? And where did this boy come from? I looked ahead of me and it was a ray of light. Bright yellow light, brighter than even the sun in my opinion. I started to pull my hands away from him, but he gripped harder. I kept tugging at him, screaming that I didn't want to go with him. I screamed begging for my life, begging to see Talal one more time, just to explain this to him! I couldn't leave him. He'd be devastated, and I'd be a lost soul. Then I shed a tear imagining the pain I'd cause him. The little boy looked up at me in confusion, then set me free.
I stood there asking myself why he left me now, what had I said that confused him?
He looked up and said: I'm sorry Dalal.. I thought I was helping you.. You seemed so, lost. You can go, looks like there's one more thing holding you to stay back here.. Talal.
I was then back in my car, I didn't remember walking back. I looked around to make sure he had left then convinced myself it was just a dream. I then turned on my engine, and sped my way through the rest of the highway.
Bittersweet,
You're gon' be the death of me,
I don't want you,
But I need you,
I love you and I hate you at the very same time,

My ringtone startled me, and my hand moved quickly to push my phone underneath my chair. I looked ahead to make sure there were no cars, so I bent down to grab my phone, I answered instantly knowing it was Talal.
Talal: WHERE ARE YOU? YOU SAID 45 MINUTES, IT'S BEEN AN HOUR AND A HALF AND YOU'RE STILL NOT HERE. ARE YOU PLAYING GAMES WITH ME? I'M WORRIED SICK ABOUT YOU. -He was shouting, and I panicked because I hadn't realized I was out of the car with that little boy for so long. I then began making my way up just beginning my sentence.
Dalal: Talal, calm down! I'll explain when I -
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP.
I had just lifted my head over the steering wheel to find I was at the other side of the road about to drive into a huge truck. I could hear Talal still in the phone, he was still shouting, he sounded worried, he was shouting and asking if I were okay because I had stopped in the middle of my sentence.
I looked down for a mere second to grab my phone that was on my lap, then looked up to turn to the steering wheel and it was gone. The truck was gone and I was at the right side of the road again.
What was happening to me? I looked back, no sign of a truck, looked ahead and there was still no sign of it. I pulled over, once again, then began to speak to Talal.
Dalal: Talal, I'm at Al Nasr road, the one that leads into your apartment street, I need 5 minutes. Don't worry, I'm fine.
I decided not to worry him more about me, and to explain once I got there. I then started my engine again and made my way to his apartment.
